US Markets – indices were mixed

US indices were mixed yesterday. Shares in the auto, media and technology hardware gained while stocks in the banks, real estate and insurance sectors were under pressure.

73% of S&P500 constituents stocks traded lower yesterday.
27% trade above their 20D MA vs 33% Tuesday (below the 20D moving average).
84% trade above their 200D MA vs 86% Tuesday (below the 20D moving average).

The VIX index added 0.12pt to 21.6.

The 10yr yield rose 6.4bps to 3.7% (above its 20D MA). The 2yr-10yr spread fell 4bps to -283bps (below its 20D MA).
